I really enjoyed this book. I worked in school bus transportation for 30 years. It’s very well organized and well written. It’s so wonderful to have a school bus driver who is so dedicated and committed to the ups and downs that can happen on a daily basis. Understanding and working with the children is such an important part of a school bus driver. They are very lucky to have you.

The history of Westport and history of school bus transportation was interesting. The connection to the students was very clear.The challenges of funding constraints,driver shortages and safety concerns were emphasized. Anyone who reads the book will never look at a school bus driver the same again.Well written.
I really enjoyed this book for its unbiased perspective, respect for all the participants in the system and its insight into the challenges facing school transportation. The author’s voice was authentic and clearly caring. I look forward to seeing where he takes this analysis.
An interesting reading about the early beginnings of the Yellow School Bus and its early effects on today’s public school system. Loved his stories about the kids like Spiderman & the No Kids Left Behind policy enabled me to get thru his book in one sitting.
